AnXIETY

Individuals with anxiety worry about bad tings that could possibly happen in the future. They may find it difficult to put aside their worry and often go back to the same worry thought over and over.

Anxiety can stop people from going places, meeting new people, or trying something new. Anxiety can sometimes feel uncontrollable and may be accompanied by an uncomfortable physical response, such as shaking, restlessness, pounding heart rate, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, dizziness, and upset stomach.

Depression

Depression may feel like a dark cloud overhead that’s here to stay. Individuals with depression feel down or sad most days. They may not always be able to say why. They may lose interest in doing things that they used to enjoy. Simple things may be hard to start or finish.

PTSD

Survivors of trauma and very stressful, negative, or life-threatening experiences may experience unwanted memories of the event. They may have nightmares about it or feel like they are right back there reliving the terrible event. They may blame themselves for what happened. They may try to avoid thinking about what happened, or push strong, negative feelings away.

ANGER

Individuals with excessive anger have difficulty calming themselves down when situations don’t go their way or when people behave in ways that are upsetting to them. They may act impulsively by lashing out, yelling or get into fights and later feel embarrassed or ashamed. Because they have difficulty controlling their anger, relationships with family, friends, and co-workers are often strained.
